Choosing your wedding flowers can be daunting for some. First, consider the style of wedding you want to create and the dresses. You don’t always have to go with a colour that is in the bridal party for the flowers. Sometimes choosing complementary colours (two colours opposite each other on the colour wheel) is the way to go. Again; it depends on the look you are after. The other most important consideration is flower availability and the season you are getting married in.
Many blooms are available year round; some locally, others imported. However; for some blooms you will be restricted by the month of your wedding. The climate/weather also plays a part as some flowers may bloom earlier in the season than usual.
I have put together, with the support of my flower grower and wholesaler, a few flower combinations that are available each season, to help you with your big decision.
